For the past six years the International Dance Village has hosted a unique program to promote excellence in young dancers from around the country.

The program’s goal is to promote and nurture exceptional students between the ages of 15 and 18 in technique, personal expression, creativity and more.  The program consists of an intensive weekly session once a week throughout a full calendar year.

The students are selected after a rigorous screening process and are exposed to a very high professional level of work in order to provide them with the tools and skills and to enhance their skills and prepare them to be future professional dancers.

Every encounter includes a high level ballet class led by Gali Kalef, the director of KCDC’s second company and a leading ballet instructor.  These meetings also include repertoire classes led by company dancers along with other specialty specific enrichment classes on various topics.  This program allows its participants to deal with challenging professional material and work of Choreographer and Artistic Director Rami Be’er, and ultimately to experience what is required of a professional dancer.

In the long term, program participants are able to audition for the dance company and to hopefully be accepted as a dancer of KCDC.
