KCDC 2 Dancers 2012-2013 Season

Laura Arend

Born in France in 1990. She graduated from the National Conservatory of Dance (CNSM or Conservatoire de Paris). After spending two years in NYC taking part in different projects, Laura participated in the KCDC’s Dance Journey program for international dancers. Laura joined KCDC 2 in September 2012.
Tamar Barlev

Born in 1991 in Moshav Beit Itzhak, Israel. Graduate of the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) in the United Kingdom as well as the dance program at The Ruppin School. Completed the dance training program of Naomi Perlov and Ofir Dagan. Was awarded a dance scholarship by The San Francisco Ballet. Joined KCDC 2 September 2011.
Tomer Ben David

Born in 1989. Started dancing at the age of 8 in the Avivim Dance Company in Ashdod. During his service in the IDF, danced in Michal Wolf Dance Group. Completed the dance training program at Bikurei Haitim. Was awarded a scholarship for The American Academy of Ballet. Joined KCDC 2 September 2012.
Eli Cohen

Born in Spain in 1990. Studied at The Bustan School of Performing Arts in Netanya. A graduate of the dance workshop of the Matte Asher Region in Kibbutz Ga’aton. Joined KCDC 2 in September 2011.
Niv Elbaz

Born 1993. From Shoham, Israel. A graduate of The Thelma Yellin High School of the Arts. Between 2008-2010, was awarded a scholarship from the America-Israel Cultural Foundation (AICF). Earned scholarships for summer courses in Cyprus, Zaltzburg and New York. Joined KCDC 2 in September 2012. An outstanding dancer in the IDF.
Eldor Finkelstein

Born in 1993. From Bat Hefer, Israel. A graduate of The Thelma Yellin High School of the Arts. Was awarded scholarship for NDT Summer Intensive. Joined KCDC 2 in September 2012.
Moises Himmelfarb

Born in Mexico City. Trained at the Ecuela Profesional de Danza de Mazatlán where he worked with some of Mexico's top choreographers. He participate in KCDC’s Dance Journey program in 2011 and started working with KCDC 2 in 2012.
Liron Kichler

Born in 1993. Started dancing ballet under Miriam Kofman and at the same time in "Blich.” Won first place in the 2008 Mia Arbatova Ballet Competition and in the Janet Ordman Contest. Was awarded scholarships from America-Israel Cultural Foundation between 2006-2011. Was awarded scholarships for summer courses at The American Academy of Ballet, The School of American Ballet, and The Royal Ballet School. Danced in ‘The Project’ production at The New Israeli Opera. Joined KCDC 2 in September 2012. Recognized as an outstanding dancer in the IDF.
Almog Kidron

Born in 1992. Started dancing at the age of six while active in gymnastics. A graduate of the dance program in Misgav, Israel and during high school participated in KCDC’s Outstanding Dancers program. Served in the IDF as an outstanding dancer. Joined KCDC 2 September 2011.
Grant Maser

Originally from San Diego, California, where he started his dance training at the age of 7 in the School of Dance under Kathryn Irey. Grant later went on to receive scholarships to study at the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance, San Francisco City Ballet School, and Magpie Music and Dance Company based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. In February 2012, Grant attended KCDC’s Dance Journey program for international dancers. Joined KCDC 2 in September 2012.
Anat Oz

Born in 1990. From in Omer, Israel. Studied dance in the Bat-Dor Dance School in Be'er Sheva. A graduate of The Thelma Yellin High School of the Arts. Was awarded scholarships from America-Israel Cultural Foundation. During her service in the IDF, was recognized as an Outstanding Dancer. Completed the dance training program of Naomi Perlov and Ofir Dagan. Danced with the Israeli Ballet, Kamea Dance Company and joined KCDC 2 in September 2012.
Ofir Romashkano

Born in 1993 in Alfei Menashe, Israel. A graduate of The Thelma Yellin High School of the Arts. Between 2008-2011 was awarded scholarships from America-Israel Cultural Foundation. Joined KCDC 2 in September 2011. Recognized as an outstanding dancer in the IDF.
Hagar Shachal

Born 1993' lives in Hertzeliya. Started dancing at the Lea Manor Studio. A graduate of The Thelma Yellin High School of the Arts. Was awarded scholarships from America-Israel Cultural Foundation 2010. . Completed the dance training program at "Bikurei HaItim". Joined KCDC 2 in September 2011. An outstanding dancer in the IDF.
Gal Topolanski

Born in 1994. Lives in Bat-Hefer, Israel. Started dancing at the age of three. At 13 started dancing in Unison Dance School in Even Yehuda under Moran Barak. Joined KCDC 2 in September 2012 and serves in the army as an ‘Outstanding Dancer’.
