Born in Moshav Shavei Tzion in northern Israel in 1978. Elik studied dance at the Sadana Performing Arts School in Kibbutz Ga’aton and at the Thelma Yellin School of the Arts in Tel Aviv. After his education he worked with several choreographers in Israel including Josef Tamim and Rami Levi along with companies including DeDe Dance, Moza and Vertigo Dance Company.
In 2005 he moved to Germany to work as a freelance dancer in Berlin where he collaborated with choreographers such as Martin Stiefermann (Staatstheater Oldenburg), Club Guy & Roni (guest performer), Susanne Linke, Mirella Weingarten (Komische Oper, Nir De Volf), Total Brutal, Santiago Bloom Die Geschichte Vom Soldaten Elik.
Since 2009 he joined Constanza Macras (DorkyPark) as a performer, creator & Rehearsal Manager. Since 2013 he is collaborating as guest performer in Sasha Waltz & Guest Company. From 2017- 2018 he will work with Needcompany (Jan Lauwers) as well as with Theater Director Pascal Rambert.
Since 2014 he’s worked as an independent choreographer and recently began working as guest choreographer with the Deutsche Oper & Munich Biennale.
Elik teaches dance in several dance companies & art academies in Europe & Israel.
