Gil Kerer — Unit
Unity. Anxiety. Separation. Safety.
Structures collapse, forces collide, events accelerate.
This piece explores what creates and organizes a functioning unit, and how much trust is required of its members to remain together. New possibilities for movement and connection continuously emerge within an ever-expanding range, where even resistance is built on mutual agreement.
Choreography: Gil Kerer
Dancers: Elik Niv, Tomer Navot, Noa Shilo, Daniel Costa, Dor Frank, Lalal Polaria, Grisha Lev, Žoži Pretzer, Ruth Valensi, Ido Barak
Music: Yaron Ozana
Talia Beck and Tom Weinberger — Body Shelter
Soaked in moments of unraveling and tenderness,
they move through recurring meetings of longing, seepage, collapse, and reconstruction.
They search for shelter in a chain of collisions,
holding on to each other for and through one another.
A vulnerable and solidary presence at the heart of the arena becomes their act of resistance in these times.
Choreography & Performance: Talia Beck and Tom Weinberger
Music: Matan Daskal
Sharon Vazanna — The Craft of Motherhood
The three of us are mothers.
We have children aged from 1 year and 8 months to 12 years.
We care, fight, worry, protect, fear, create, nurse, stay awake, sleep a little, cook, do laundry, curse, fold, comfort, scold, caress, hug, hold.
We are mothers—and also daughters, sisters, granddaughters.
We dance and ask questions, practicing the maternal craft of life as a tribe gaining knowledge. The everyday and emergency care we give becomes a practice in containing complexity.
Concept & Choreography: Sharon Vazanna
Dancer-creators and process partners: Aya Steigman, Reut Gez, Sharon Vazanna
Original Music: Flora – Liron Meshulam
Additional Music: Sergei Rachmaninov – Prélude in C-sharp minor, Op. 3, No. 2, performed by Guillaume Vincent
Dafi Altabeb — And Seemingly We Were Just Minding Our Own Business
“There is a crack in everything, that’s how the light gets in.” —Leonard Cohen
In the cracks formed by passing time, there’s coarseness and fracture—yet also the simplicity of a beginning.
This piece draws on elements from our past to understand what they can teach us about identity, partnership, and the choice to keep holding onto this moment in time. With its help, maybe we can even heal.
Choreography: Dafi Altabeb
Collaborating Dancers: Itay Bibas, Gili Geva, Omer Tishauer, Aya Dagani, Yoav Kleinman
Apprentice Collaborator: Maayan Nigri
Music: Reut Yehudai
For the First Time at Curtain Up — Community Screen
A collaboration between the Screen Lift Project and the local community, inviting choreographer Noa Shilo to create a community-based dance piece with participants who are not professional dancers.
After a months-long process, we are proud to present the piece: I Dream
From encounters with a group of 11 older women, a piece emerges that delves into dreams—dreams of what the future holds, dreams that once were, dreams of all that is yet to come… I dream. I dream a lot.
Choreography: Noa Shilo
Participating Creators: Ronit Feinstein, Ada Adler, Sue Lettner, Yael Agmon, Rachel Halevy, Orna Ran, Marsha Greenfeld, Shu Bash, Gila Hamel, Maya Kalil, Dganit Laufer
