The whole concept of Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company (KCDC) and the International Dance Village encompasses a ‘we are KCDC’ mantra of community and union.

Located in the remote and lush mountains of the ancient Galilee region in Northern Israel, Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company is distinctly different due to its geographical location, among many other reasons.

The International Dance Village in Kibbutz Ga’aton Israel

The location of the International Dance Village truly brings this dance company into a league of its own.  The tranquil, quiet, and nature-abundant community under the leadership of acclaimed Artistic Director and Choreographer Rami Be’er, allows both professional dancers and dance students from across the world to truly focus on their vocation; dance.  Here, they live and breath dance at KCDC, and live among those who too, love, live, and breath dance.

International Students in Class at the Company’s Studios

This tight-knit and intimate community allows both dance students and professional dancers to be fully-immersed in dance and the life that comes with being a professional dancer.  Dancers wake up each morning, and walk among some of the world’s best dance professionals, eat together, live together, and share the state-of-the-art facilities in one place; with no need to transfer from location to location in as most dance centers and companies are in urban environments and busy cities.

This is the luxury experienced at the International Dance Village and the reason as to why over 4,000 of our students between our annual Summer Intensive, 5-month and 10-month Dance Journey study abroad program, company dancers, teachers, choreographers, and team return year after year.
